It started at their own dinner table.
Mari Mari started around the family dinner table, where a rich beef rendang and a fragrant mee goreng were the two dishes that always brought everyone together. Steven's sons suggested turning it into a stall, an idea the family laughed off at first until an opening came up at Eat Street. Four years on, the small family stall has grown into a menu customers return for again and again.
Every paste is still made from scratch, from the rendang base that simmers for hours to the sambal that goes with the fried chicken. All of the food is halal, and the family wants Mari Mari to feel like a place where everyone finds a taste of home, whichever background they come from.
