Bluey returns to Eat Street!

Saturday 19 September, Bluey is back on the Main Deck, and this time she is running the games herself.

Eat Street Northshore news story

For one night, you don't have to be Bandit.

Bluey is the only kids' show that is really about the parents. Bandit gets off the couch. Chilli says yes to one more round. Somebody's dad is always down on the floor being a horse when he would rather be reading the paper.

The September holidays are fourteen days of being that parent. So on Saturday 19 September, Bluey is back on the Main Deck, and this time she is running the games herself. You get to watch from the edge with a plate of something hot.

The games, played properly

Keepy Uppy, Magic Asparagus, Copy Cat and Musical Statues. Four games your household already knows the rules to, out on the deck with a few hundred kids in on it. Nothing on earth is stiller than a six year old who does not want to be out.

All of it is included with entry. No extra ticket, no wristband, no second queue. The deck does fill early for this, so eat first and hold your spot with dinner in hand. Show time goes up on our socials closer to the day.

You have run every game in this house since Friday. This one is on us.

One family gets the whole weekend

A night at Alcyone Hotel Residences in Hamilton, tickets to Bluey's World, Eat Street entry with a $300 voucher, a pile of merch, and a VIP meet with Bluey before the crowd arrives.

Bluey's World in the afternoon, us once the sun drops, a hotel bed between the two, and nobody driving home with a car full of overtired heelers. Enter through the newsletter from late August. We draw it before the night, so the weekend is still a weekend.

Then dinner, which is the other half

The show is where the evening starts, not where it ends. Sixty kitchens, the stages going, the river turning gold behind all of it. The kids get the games and the sugar. You get a meal, sitting down, that you did not cook or clean up after. Everyone is tired by eight, which in the middle of the school holidays is the entire point.

Bluey's World is our neighbour here on Northshore, and this is the first evening we have built together. It will not be the last.
